Dr Tessa Mclean

I completed my medical degree at the University of Western Australian, graduating with honours in 2011.

I undertook my internship and residency at Fremantle Hospital gaining experience in emergency medicine and a wide range of adult medicine. I then pursued further training in women’s health, working at KEMH, Osborne Park Hospital and Joondalup Hospital in the area of obstetrics and gynaecology. During this time I completed a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (DRANZCOG).

I commenced GP training in 2013 and my interests include women’s health including contraception, sexual and reproductive health, antenatal and postnatal care, breastfeeding feeding support, neonatal and child health.

I am passionate about medical education and balance my work in general practice with teaching medical students at the University of Notre Dame.

Outside of general practice and teaching I am usually busy with my three young children. When spare time presents itself I also enjoy running, cooking and reading.
