Dr Susan Cann is a highly experienced and compassionate GP with over 20 years of dedication to general practice. She has a special interest in women’s health, infant, child and adolescent health, and all aspects of family medicine. After graduating from the University of Western Australia in 1999, she completed her Fellowship with the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners in 2004. She also holds a Diploma of Child Health, is a certified Youth Friendly Doctor, and is an accredited Eating Disorder Clinician—reflecting her commitment to holistic, patient-centred care.
Dr Cann is the Clinical Director of GPs on Bayview, where she enjoys supporting a dedicated team of GPs, nurses, and administrative staff. She values fostering a collaborative and caring practice environment, ensuring high-quality care for the local community.
She is a respected practitioner who combines deep clinical knowledge with an empathetic manner, offering thoughtful, evidence-based care that addresses both physical and emotional wellbeing. Dr Cann is passionate about supporting individuals and families through every stage of life, with a strong focus on prevention, continuity, and whole-person care.
She has built strong relationships with local healthcare providers, medical specialists, and allied health professionals, enabling her to coordinate comprehensive care for patients—particularly those with complex medical, nutritional, and mental health needs.
Outside of her clinical work, Dr Cann enjoys a busy family life and finds relaxation by spending time in and near the ocean.
